We have a way of blaming things on the outside for our circumstances rather than checking within to see if the trigger lies in us. We are commanded to count it all joy when we fall into divers temptations, to know he that endured and overcomes shall receive the crown of life.
But the same context in which both statements were made traces the trigger to these events inside us. It says when a man is tempted he is drawn away of his own lusts and enticed. The trigger is within and until we open up to God to remove that, there will always be a reoccurence
We may use cliches & catch phrases to say many things to soothe us but until we address issues within, taking full responsibility we will keep getting weaker chasing shadows and missing the substance. We can play the victim card but this will only establish the pattern continues.
The man who will grow will ask for wisdom in a time of crisis so he may see from God's perspective and change the things he ought to change in order to have a favourable outcome. Its true joy comes in the morning but that is because we have allowed the Daystar to arise within us.
