John Minford, #SunTzu 8: 8 "There are armies not to attack."

How many principles are hidden within this single, simple, pithy command? Let me give you my own first cut. Failure Analysis. If you ever attack and army and lose, analyze your failure. It's very possible you attacked an army you should NOT have attacked and it's time to fess up.

If you read the commentaries, you'll find they talk at length about this or that city that did NOT need to be taken. We'll talk more about that soon. The real point is, fights to NOT fight. The very moment someone calls you a racist, stop fighting.

Seriously? Yes, seriously. Just stop talking to people who use such an evil attack. They'll never convert. You'll never win the argument. Why not? It's no long an argument. It's a knife fight, and everyone walks away from those damaged, if they walk away at all.

It's a little-known factor that swords offer more control than knives. In a knife fight, people are wounded or killed. Always. You can have a sword fight and settle at the point of surrender, no one hurt. This is NOT possible with knives.

Ask any war fighter you know. The knife men are the most dangerous of all. I assure you, if I faced a qualified knife man, I'd surrender in an instant unless my family, unit or nation was on the line. Then, unqualified as I am, I'd just say I'm on death ground.

There are armies not to attack, Master Sun tells us. What he does NOT say is that there are armies NOT to trap. Think about it. We've discussed this before. How do you kill a mastodon? One way is to lead it to a cliff, get it to fall over and have the fall kill it.

Not an attack, that's an ambush. Here's a tactical application. We're not going to turn Chicago Republican. Attacking it makes no sense. And we're not going to turn Baltimore Republican. Thing is, stating the truth about the suffering of Baltimore's residents is not an attack.

Speaking truth to cities is an ambush. We have no need to attack anyone. We just speak the truth. Liberal progressive policies have destroyed our cities. We don't need to prove that. Every person living there knows it's true.

Armies. What an interesting thing. The progressive left has always known that armies of have-nots, to use Alinsky's term, are the answer they seek. From our founding, armies of haves has been our objective. We want everyone to have what they need.

What do you need? Life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness and the right of property. Do NOT let them fool you. Slaves were never property. See life and liberty. Slavery was the black eye on the founding of America. We must face and deal with that. You, however, are not a slave.

Here's what the liberal left has completely missed. They think they freed the slaves. They think they won the suffrage so that women might vote. Nothing could be further from the truth. If we did not have the Declaration of Independence, there would be no freedom, period.
