People who think they're drinking Kona coffee may be getting ripped off. Kona farmers have long suspected that competitors falsely label cheap commodity beans, flooding the market, depressing prices and damaging the distinctive coffee’s reputation. lat.ms/2In5SAD

Even tho my clinical skills are consistently referred to as excellent.
Even tho I was the first social worker and first intern to present at Grand Rounds in my department and my recommendations are already being implemented.
But apparently my track record for pushing back against oppressive policies matters more than my skills. And my disability is an easy target.

fact that leadership of NYT in 2019 (!!) thinks if you just explain something to Trump, or ask him really nice, he'll stop awful behavior is really the funniest damn thing i've ever heard.
and boy, the NYT publisher/Trump interview got chummy. by the end they were swapping tales abt their dads. oh well, as long as they can fondly reminisce that’s what’s really important!

Three weeks ago, 62% of Missourians voted for a constitutional amendment to reduce corruption and make the state's elections fairer. The Missouri Republican Party is now trying to undo that amendment. nytimes.com/2018/11/27/opi…
It's the latest example of lawmakers ignoring or outright rejecting ballot initiatives passed by the voters. And both parties have been guilty here. In D.C., Democrats on the city council have undone a wage increase for restaurant workers. citylab.com/equity/2018/10…
But this isn't simply a "both sides" story. The Missouri shenanigans are another example of Republican officials trying to subvert democracy -- be it through voter suppression, attempts to halt vote counting or post-election power stripping.

Three weeks ago, a source who claimed to be a high profile whistleblower within the Saudi regime said this to me (with a lot more details)
The same source gave me a lot more explosive information. In the intervening three weeks a *lot* of what he told me has been proven, and almost none of the details he relayed to me have been decisively refuted.
I no longer have contact with this source, but I'm considering dumping everything that he told me publicly so that others can dig in and fact check.
