Okay Andrew, but remember that you asked for this. We're gonna go through every throw of the #Bears first half looking for open receivers and we'll see if you want to continue after that.

We start with the Cohen throw, who's open here. We know that. Tough throw, but open.
Next throw goes to Gabriel to the left, open again
Next throw is PA to Braunecker, who's wide open. The over to Gabriel isn't there, so he takes the checkdown
After that is the sideline throw to Robinson, who's covered.... but if you look to Trubisky's right, you'll see a wide open Mike Davis and Trey Burton so take what you will. Throw isn't a bad decision, but there are open players there.
Next is the throw to Shaheen. All 22 starts breaking down here unfortunately (gamepass error), but at least we can plainly see that Shaheen is, in fact, wide open.
Next is the left-side throw to Robinson, who's open. Also that right-side look to Burton(?) is open for extra credit.
After that is a screen pass to Montgomery and the only man close to him is a DL who's engaged with Leno, so I would count that as open as well.
Next is a 16-yard screen to Cohen, who doesn't have a defender in his zip code.
Next is this PA rollout where not only is Shaheen open but Miller is also breaking open down the sidelines. (Robinson is open as well and I'm sure the computer counted it but Trubisky shouldn't make that throw on the run)
After that is the much-discussed PA miss to Gabriel, sitting down in the zone at your top right of the picture.
Next is a PA screen to Miller, who's open at the time of the catch without a doubt.
After that is the Monty-bomb where no one was open. First play of this thread and first of the game where no one was.
On this "throw" to Cohen Cohen is undoubtedly open should the ball reach him
And then, finally, we have the half-ending throw to Braunecker where no one is close to him.
So there you have it, an entire half's worth of open receivers. Were they all outstanding plays? No, but they were easy for Trubisky to operate and gave the #Bears opportunities for yardage.

The data says that 40% of plays involved "wide open receivers", and frankly I see why.
