President Trump has gone out of his way to thwart congressional investigations. We're suing to find out if the White House has been directing five agencies to stonewall Congress: americanoversight.org/trumps-obstruc…
Trump has even claimed that constitutionally mandated oversight is "presidential harassment" and stated that his administration is "fighting all of the subpoenas."
Administration officials have followed Trump's lead. Commerce Sec. Ross has refused to produce documents on the citizenship question on the 2020 census, a DOJ official refused to testify, and Treasury Sec. Mnuchin refused to turn over Trump's tax returns.
