pretty sure you can die from benzo withdrawal. i used to be around some people that were really into pills. easily one of the worst classes of drugs. theyre like the anti-shamanic substance. to say im not a fan of their existence would be an understatement.
i actually did try them (wasnt a benzo but i class all pills together as one substance with the same underlying essence, suck it drug nerds). normally i would not be involved with such things but, a friends gf was really into them and this was height of my psychonautic period
what was really disturbing about them was the extent to which they hollowed you out. its like, when i was on them (one time) i had a whole day, took the train home, did a bunch of dumb stuff, saw my friends, went to a party, but the next day i couldnt believe i did all of that.
i woke up like "wow, what the hell, was i even there for any of that?". it was like i was on autopilot. there was that effect and also this effect of, just not caring about the repercussions of anything. i actually texted all the girls in my phone from the train, things like that
i found the combination of being put on autopilot and just "not giving a fuck" (that was the energy of pills, to me), to be extremely disturbing. i could easily see how someone could just take them every day and just roll through their life as though they arent even there.
i guess "dystopian" would be the key word there. also suddenly all the storys of people taking xanax + doing aggressively stupid reckless things then made a ton of sense. im not talking shit about peterson because i havent tried the specific thing he was using so, idk about that
i hate pills (not talking about people that have an actual medical condition, recreational use of them, obviously). i am anti pill man. destroy all pill drugs. such a perfect embodiment of modernity zombification robotic intoxication. no thanks. no wonder theyre made in factories
