Am I the only person who wonders why so many “Johns” are opposing the release of these documents? I mean, if you didn’t do anything wrong, why are you trying to block the release of docs in a child sex trafficking case involving Jeffrey Epstein?...
And, btw, why are you hiding behind a “John Doe” label? Why does the judiciary even allow this??? On what basis can someone object while hiding who they are???
It’s amazing to me that all these women have the guts to come forward — in PUBLIC — and there are these “John Does” who can object to these allegations under the cloak of secrecy. No wonder sexual assault survivors are afraid.
Maybe we should make the same demands of these Jeffrey Epstein “John Does” that our system makes of the Jane Does — which means — “we don’t believe you if you don’t go public.” That’s the twisted logic the CJ system uses against victims.
The judiciary needs to consider IF they enabled Jeffrey Epstein by allowing all these documents to be SEALED in the first place. By giving anonymous John Does a place at this table, what message are you sending to rich and powerful men?
