Happy October 1st! It's time for the great #locktober #chastity list! Let's look back at everything chastity related that came out since October 2018 (+ some old classics) in the world of books, articles, film & TV, plus some numbers on chastity in porn!

Now, let's look back at the year that was in male #chastity. Let's see what people said, wrote and filmed about chastity since October 1, 2018! We want to see what the world outside chastity thinks about our world inside it. Let's begin with articles.

First, @fakedansavage has a lot to say about #chastity this year with Savage Love. First, he got the ins and outs of male chastity devices. 4/

While non-fic books on chastity were light, they were adding to an already large library (more on this later). And like the articles this year, they focused on chastity as an interesting but healthy mode of unique sexual and intimate expression.

First, the bad news. I could find no Chastity references in tv or film this year. But that is always the last hurdle. Just 20 years ago, pegging had no name. It went from that to Weeds, to Sense8 to Broad City to Deadpool, where it was viewed as couples fun, not ridiculed.

I looked at big three porn sites to see how much male #chastity showed up in searches. I'm hoping to look again in October 2020, 2021 and beyond. I expect we shall see the numbers go up, though porn chastity is visual and couples chastity is mental. /30

@xhamstercom had over 1100 videos involving male chastity, while @pornhub had 425. but the big winner was tiava.com, where i stopped counting at 3600. Tiava allows amateur vids, which propels the count. I think THAT more than maybe anything else in this list... /31

...speaks to the breakthrough of male #chastity. TV, articles, even pro porn always lag behind what we do at home. It'll be interesting to see where it goes from here. Will #chastity achieve the near-ubiquity of #pegging or will it enter the mainstream atmosphere only to burn up?
