So as I was trying out the Mega Drive mini, I was expecting to play Aleste, not MUSHA.

Which is OK, because shmups rarely need any language skills.
However, upon booting up the system, I tried checking its menu.
@Sindiewen helped a little.

I went to the top left, pressed it, then pressed the highlighted option.
Then Rachel read out the list and found "Aigo", which is "English" in Japanese
I pressed it, and VOILA! Full UI in English, and the American versions of all the games that were released here!
Clicked on MUSHA and...
it IS MUSHA! 😄

The only games that are in Japanese are the games that were never released here, but having both English and Japanese versions of some of the games is fun, and an interesting look into what the "other side" got in the 90s!
