Our answer for decades, for every societal ill, is criminal “justice” system. It doesnt help anyone. Doesn’t solve problems or make us safer. Costs a fortune & destroys lives. A terrible investment driven by fear & pro-carceral interests. A societal failure that isn’t inevitable.
