Brian Williams went way out of his way to name check the Ivy/elite colleges that is coworkers and guest went to or teach at and dear fucking god, this needs to end.
Not only is it extremely tone deaf but like, yeah, people who went to elite institutions are more likely to have elite jobs. It makes me think *less* of them to know they had that access early.

Please do not tell me that is a meritocracy. We all know better.
And Brian Williams went to community college, transfered to Catholic University and then GWU. I mean THAT is interesting! More highlights about that kind of trajectory! Not @maddow went to Stanford. She doesn’t need her BA trotted out to give her gravitas, also.
As a matter of course, there is a vanishingly small number of reasons to discuss where you or anyone went to college once you are over the age of 30.
Just going to reup this thread about how legacy/donor admissions are the TRUE scandal about college, and not just the Ivies(like)
