Federal judge eviscerates procedural objections to House impeachment investigation: the current investigation “is to determine whether to recommend articles of impeachment”;

the argument for a formal impeachment resolution “is cherry-picked and incomplete, and... has no textual support”;
and as to secrecy, “the House performs a function somewhat akin to a grand jury” — which proceeds in secret.
If as U.S. Attorney or Attorney General I got a decision like this, I’d make inquiries of the lawyers involved. The decision is scathing about DOJ arguments.

Any chance House Republicans will care? Or back to same debunked theatrics?

This is a pretty good argument for Medicare for All, but it overlooks folks who need attention.

Seniors on Medicare Advantage; union members on health/welfare plans; employees getting insurance at work; patients getting special protection in state Medicaid programs.

Plus we’ve got to assure veterans they’ve nothing to fear. There’s work to be done.
As @paulkrugman points out, progress can lead to more progress. The path to Medicare for All must be thoughtful and bring key constituencies along. A rash rush to Medicare for All may cause the defeat of Medicare for All.

Can this flamboyant convicted liar be credible enough to stand as a government witness? (Note: even witnesses with grave credibility problems can cooperate by providing leads and access to documents/emails, etc., and Stone may have a rich trove.)

"we have just taken, in the formal and official way a committee can, we have just given notice, that we are actively considering articles of impeachment.”
Cont:

“We are now conducting hearings in order to determine whether to recommend articles of impeachment,”

“Once the committee has... articles of impeachment referred to us, doing what we’re doing in the hearings, that is the impeachment process and we are deep into it.”
Context: It depends on what the meaning of 'impeachment process' is

On one hand, it could be politically unpopular for Dems to have a full House vote opening impeachment inquiry

OTOH, they want to strengthen their hand in court fights, and throw a bone to pro-impeachment base
