Chrystal was just 16 when she first met Volar, a White man. He raped her. He filmed it. He continued to rape her until one night in June 2018, at age 17, when he tried to rape her and she killed him in self defense.
The investigation into Volar had started in February after a 15-year-old girl called from his house and said a man had given her drugs and was going to kill her. They found her wandering on the streets dressed only in a bra and jacket.
When they interviewed her, they learned Volar had been paying her for sex since she was 14. She said Volar was also abusing other girls.
Police raided the house and found home videos of him raping girls as young as 12 on his computer.

They were able to ascertain at least 12 separate girls had been raped - all of them Black.
When police looked at his bank accounts they found $1.5 million in suspicious transfers. Volar was also running a sex trafficking operation.

If Volar had been held in jail, he would not have been in a position to continue to rape and traffic Chrystul and all the other children he was abusing.
And Chrystul would never have been in a position where her only alternative was to defend herself as she did.

What is unbelievable, like truly not even fathomable, is that prosecutors could have all of this evidence, and charge Chrystul.
She is being held in jail and faces life in prison.

PS. Oh and that "Nobody is above the law" thing everyone is feeling so content and somewhat self-righteous about after impeaching the president yesterday, may want to do some soul-searching on that one.
