The Stability Walk which started from the Lagos State Fire Service, Alausa Ikeja through Opebi Link Bridge, Allen Avenue, Obafemi-Awolowo Way, Ikeja among other areas within the axis was in support of structural stability in building.
The General Manager of LASBCA, Engr. (Mrs.) Abiola Kosegbe who addressed newsmen during the exercise said that the involvement of the professionals who are not govt officials would help in cascading the message down to members of the public and other members of the profession.

During the Chandrababu Govt, Amravati received political as well as financial patronage. Now, with Jagan Reddy being incharge of the state, the project is in shambles. World Bank & ADB pulled out of the project and the Government is looking for reasons to scrap it. 2/n
The bonds issued to support the financing needs of the project were subscribed by Franklin MF and Birla MF. The bonds are guaranteed by the AP Govt but it's not sure if the Govt would keep servicing the bonds. The risk of lending to a state govt has again come to the fore. 3/11

New Lagos-Ibadan railway ready in May.

The 156-kilometre new Lagos-Ibadan railway will be ready in May this year, the Managing Director, Nigerian Railway Corporation, Mr Fidet Okheria, has said.
He also said commercial operation would commence on the 85km Iju-Abeokuta section.
This will be after the ongoing free train ride by passengers on the line expected to last for three months.
The Iju-Abeokuta section of the standard gauge new railway is currently operating a daily free train, which will last for three months.
Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, led several dignitaries including Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State and Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, on a train ride from Iju to Abeokuta on February 8 to signify the commitment of the Federal Government to the new railway project.
