windows does spy on you now. windows does prevent you from running whatever software you like. windows does hide things. windows does have ten ways to do the same thing, none consistent or reliable.
windows does crash now, windows does have mysteriously broken functionality, windows does break shit in patches. none of this used to be true, it was just cherry picking contextless anecdotes. now it's all true.
I cannot defend windows anymore, except insofar as if it was like this in 1998 it WOULD have been appropriate to start looking for an alternative. telling me to switch now is fucking asinine, nobody can just jump out of the rat race
there is literally not a single program i regularly use that works on another OS. we need to fucking nationalize microsoft.
