If you have #daca, please consult with a lawyer to find permanent relief.l, be auwe DACA is probably gone once the Supreme Court rules.

You never know if there may be a path to a green card. Let me give some examples from my own practice.
One client became eligible for a U visa because of a very sad domestic violence situation.

This is a visa for victims of certain types of crimes.

You can get it even with an order of deportation.
Many clients become eligible for asylum. Asylum is getting harder, no doubt. But we're still getting wins.

We fight like hell, and appeal all the way up. Sometimes another path opens up in the meantime, like...
Marriage to a US citizen with a waiver for unlawful presence. Or a type of green card filing we unofficially call a "DACAbelly" filing, if the client left the US and returned on a travel document/permiso back when that was allowed.
Some clients are eligible for cancellation of removal. Check with your lawyer. It's also a tough burden, but entirely possible in many cases. And in the meantime, something else might open up.

You'll never know unless you get the right information now.

Please take it seriously.
Some clients are actually eligible to leave and come back with an employer-sponsored green card. The rules are tough here, but the Dreamers who had DACA since before they turned 18 tend to be eligible for this route, and then only need a willing employer.
Some clients aren't aware of old petitions filed by family members that they can benefit from. FOIA your records and find out!

And talk to your family!
None of these options means we should stop or even slow down the fight for a legislative fix for DACA.

Especially those of us with the privilege not to have to worry about getting deported.

The government is counting on your silence.

They're COUNTING on it.
Don't forget the kids who've been here and stand to lose status because of lengthy backlogs. The ones who are actually in status and will be forcibly de-documented. Follow @E2visaDREAMER for more info about this entirely avoidable fiasco.
And never shy away from calling out the anti-immigrant movement, the groups who come up with all these horrible ideas. The big 3?

@numbersusa

They're part of the Tanton Network, because they were started by white nationalist John Tanton.
Together, we will demand more. We reject white nationalism in our country, whether open or camouflaged.

We will build a welcoming country that empowers its citizens, current and future.

#ChangeIsHard but we will #ReframeImmigration.
