Am I the only one who’s actually....
Excited about Pop’n Wonderland?
I mean, yeah, it’s nothing like the classic games, but even if this does replace them the classic ones would still be around, just offline and/or without new content! And besides, change can be good. The series
is incredibly popular and is far from dead. They JUST released a collab cafe and it’s inevitable that this new game will draw in new faces, likely players who are familiar with PriPara and Aikatsu and/or those looking for a new rhythm game experience. And while certainly not all
of the 700+ characters will be present, it’ll be exciting to see many of them in their new looks and I’m certain that lots will come back for sure! Even if they don’t use the classic sprites anymore, the old characters aren’t going anywhere and that doesn’t mean you have to stop
being fans of them if they aren’t revamped! KONAMI is also taking lots of feedback from players to improve the game, so don’t jump to conclusions just yet. Keep an open mind. Personally, I can’t wait to see what this game has in store for the series and I genuinely think it seems
quite fun, even if I may never be able to play it if it isn’t exported.
I think it’s too early to worry about this game, there is still quite a bit of time left before it’ll actually be released in arcades and room for KONAMI to make improvement.
And Mimi and Nyami...Adorable 😚
As much as I’ll miss the big color buttons and how fun they were to “pop” (hence why the series might have originally been called “Pop’n Music” XD), I am welcome to this new change. Change like this is bound to happen in any long-running franchise. Remember GITADORA?
