"Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country." A Nigerian president would dare not be this blunt addressing Nigerians. Its normally said, "when he is not mad." We are a people that blame others for lack of self-motivation.

Comments under a tweet asking how Nigerians feel when they see Nigeria's flag left me aghast. Even Syrians dont feel like this about being Syrians. There are Nigerians who are still glad the nation allowed them a small place of fulfillment, even if some will eagerly denigrate it.

Among the "educated," we have not a few, who project lack of fulfillment as a national lack of accomplishment. There are those who aren't suffering from any of our news media amplified misery, who also express these exasperation to sound politically fashionable. Is this OK?

Village farmers who bury seeds of corn, then wait for up to 3 months for a humble harvest arent this miserable. According to some of you, if bush rats are eating farm crops, instead of setting traps, govt should rather be blamed for not fumigating the entire rainforest. Na so! 😀

I will give two examples. Firstly, see the news that says Nigeria is to spend N620 Million for #coronavirus. Punch coined the headline to achieve the usual goal, and typically, nearly all comments under the news on twitter concluded its a motive to steal.

While EU has mobilized €10 Million, Nigeria's N620 Million is barely $1.7 Million. From info available online, the reagent used in the chemical analysis to detect coronavirus for one test would cost $73,035, and each infected suspect is tested at least twice to ensure accuracy.

Only six countries have acquired lab capabilities to test #coronavirus in Africa. Nigeria is one of the six. South Africa has spent over $4 Million setting up makeshift mass quarantine shelters, buying personnel protection and training quarantine officers.

Of course, our limited understanding of healthcare is building more orthopaedic hospitals for people breaking arm and leg bones, riding okada. The other example is @DrCOmole's fakenews which @Mr_JAGs killed in its track. He left the thread, limping like an amputated amphibian.

I assume @DrCOmole isnt suffering from any social misery that could have titilated d fashionable eagerness to condemn only. He asserted Lagos corporate okadas were licensed by @followlasg. When the falsehood was deflated, his defence was "we were told." Told by who? He has PhD 🙈

It is understandable that others may be misguided, but ask yourself if the mindset that you have continually harboured about Nigeria can be placed next to the commitment that made these young ladies sign up their lives as fighter pilots. They are doing this for many ingrates.

A young lady that worked for me in ~2yrs, after her degree and masters is leaving for a @followlasg TESCOM job and I feel like giving her 20yrs long service award. Her salary was raised thrice within a year. She's going into public service for less, because of her convictions.

The more some serenade every news about evil happening to Nigeria, the more it is reassuring that there's still a patriotic human character infrastructure in the nation, motivating these young lady and the female airforce pilots. May almighty God abiding grace make them prosper

If politicians stealing money is all that it takes to wind up the Nigeria, hypothetically, UN should have moved in here to reassign us as citizens to other nations long ago. Nigeria is still standing today, not because of government, but because of those who still believe in it.

A person that is ignorant may make heaven, but hell fury awaits those who deliberately twist the truth. To those who would not scorn their nationality, I pray that heaven and earth shall cooperate with you, in whatever you do. If you leave for Canada, God will open doors for you.
