Another interesting point @RepAndyHarrisMD made is regarding reimbursement and scope of practice, especially for physicians receiving equivalent reimbursement as mid-level providers operating at the top of their scope of practice - would physicians leave rural areas as a result?
This is a very interesting point to consider, especially as physicians undergo a high amount of training time for highly specific actions, which may not be equivalent to other health care professions. Is it a reimbursement problem or a lack of access?
