I had a coaching session with a #smallbusiness owner. She loves the fact that "she has never worked for anyone".

She started crying when I asked her "why did you start the business you are doing?". But, why?

Apparently, she has been struggling with entrepreneurship but she didn't want to let go because of swags.

She started because she assumed her friend's lifestyle was being funded from her retail business. She didn't get the memo about #SmallGirlBigGod lifestyle.

She lost over N5M in the business (including the loan to her ex-bae that he didn't refund). That's the entire seed investment from her parents.

She realized that entrepreneurship is not yet for her. It's time to move on. In life, you must recognise when it's time to stop.

So, she resumed yesterday at her first job. The job is in an industry she loved. She is also excited to be working with her boss - a very strong woman in the healthcare sector. She called me this morning with so much excitement. But that's not the end of the gist.

Her mum took the phone to pray for me (with her very clean British accent) 😀 and she started crying too.

But, why?

The entire family had tried without success to make her stop that business.

And the #BusinessCoach cried 😭 too.
