Ok, MLA @TanyYao, let’s get actual facts out there:
1) the cap is 50 services, not patients. >200 services are included so 22 pt appts is irrelevant. This means phone and e-communications, family or team conferences, calls from nursing homes, etc. (/1)

mymcmurray.com/2020/03/05/mla…
2) BC capped at 65 for 4 specific types of appts only (i.e. not calls, conferences, etc). Apples to oranges. @shandro plans to also include time modifiers as separate “services” so an appt lasting 30 minutes would be 3-4 services (still not entirely clear per @GoAHealth)
(/2)
3) Docs working a day of clinic easily exceed 50 SERVICES as we do a lot more than appts. To ask people to work at 50% pay up to 65 services is absurd... do we pay 1/2 rent or 1/2 staff? No, after hours clinics usually pay a premium as, unlike docs, everything else hits OT. (/3)
4) This has been clarified by multiple physicians multiple times over and in a variety of formats. It is insulting to the physicians in your riding, @TanyYao, that you voice a public opinion without even listening to what they have to say. They work hard & deserve respect (/end)
