That's what we're doing? Ok, I'll play. Why do Democrats throw away these states in the general, then? In 2016, Trump won every state in the South except Virginia. The Republican base is white, southern voters. The GOP swept the south in five elections between 1972 and 2004.
Not saying that racism doesn't exist in other regions like some of y'all like to pretend, but it's true. By most metrics - education, healthcare, income, etc. - Black people in the South statistically come out at the bottom. Why is that?
Are we in control of everything there, too? Are we the "Establishment" then? Or does institutionalized white supremacy in Dixiecratic strongholds suddenly become a thing again?
There are some Black folk who are establishment and some who are disrupters. But *anyone* and I do mean *anyone* with sense knows that when we criticize the Establishment we're not talking about the people most neglected by it.
People pushing this narrative know base and establishment aren't the same thing. C'mon now.
