...I think some ppl don’t realize the lengths you should go through to keep others well. My sister is still very sick, but better each day. She’s not gasping for breath now and that’s a big improvement. No tests available for her but treated as a coronavirus case....
...She hasn’t left her room or seen her kids in a week bc she’s using proper quarantine protocol. Her daughter who came back from Europe has not left her room in almost 2 weeks. She’ll get to join the rest of the household at the end of two weeks if she’s still well....
...My BIL is caring for them all (from a distance) and for three other kids while sleeping alone. And they are lucky. They have the ability to stay home and they have insurance for medication keeping my sister breathing. She’s healthy and young and will probably recover....
....but not everyone will. It’s not just a cold. It’s dangerous if we don’t take it seriously....
If you are on the front-lines of this and you’re doing the hard work I salute you. If you’re a caregiver doing the work to help others I love you. If you are trapped in a bad situation I’m so sorry. If you’re not taking this seriously I hope you try harder & I forgive you.
