677 days ago, two friends from college & myself started Cha-Ching

The idea was simple

Allow people to manage all of their exchanges & wallets in one spot

This way there’s no need to use addresses & lose money like I did

But the execution was anything but simple
At the time of starting this, we were still in college & the 2017 bull run was going parabolic

So what’d we do?

- Drop out so we could dedicate all of our time and attention to this opportunity

- Use our newfound money to outsource development so we could ship something fast

I want to talk about this for a second. I've seen this sentiment a couple of times. I want to start by saying I understand it and I don't disagree. But I want to take this opportunity to talk about my experience with the "no negotiation" policy.
5 years ago, I worked at a company called Clover Health. I joined as the first engineer, and I was largely responsible for our early hiring policies along with the co-founder and other early employees.
We had a no negotiation policy for almost my entire tenure there. We didn't invent the idea of course. But as far as I know, we were one of the earliest startups in the bay area to institute no negotiation for reasons *expressly tied* to building a diverse workforce.

Shooting the shit with a friend, she’s proud to be doing well with her plants - unusual for her.

The key was a #video explaining the benefits of pruning.

She needs REASONS. She got them.

Apparently, pruning in a particular manner stimulates growth hormones.

All right, Seattle-area people, gather 'round and attend the tale of THE DEVIL AND SARAH BLACKWATER.
Initially pitched to me as "an Americana take on the ballad of Tam Lin and the story of Orpheus," the show definitely achieves both those things, but I'd be doing it a disservice to not also mention the hefty debt it owes to Thomas the Rhymer.
This is a brand-new musical, being staged at the Annex Theater in downtown Seattle. Things to know: you must climb two flights of stairs to access the theater. There are more stairs involved (two steps) if you want to pee while you're there.
