This is not right! Yes, the US needs the equipment. But so do all the other countries. The US government has become like that guy in COSTCO buying all the toilet paper. Taking it out of other people's carts. This is not protecting your people. This is bullying. 6/7
No. Worse than bullying. This is like pushing everyone but your own family out of the life boats when the ship starts sinking. What is wrong with the US? We are all in this together. Please pressure your elected officials to cooperate with other countries. This is so wrong! 7/7

I hope we have a reset during this pandemic lockdown. I hope people learn to cook and garden and fix things themselves. I hope people realise that office buildings are largely unnecessary because most of the work that is done in them can be done from home. 1/8
I hope people discover that their co-workers and bosses and employees are real people with all the quirky things at home that no one in the work environment ever gets to see under normal circumstances. 2/8

People (particularly journalists) are worked up b/c they feel they need access to the gov't #COVID19 projections. The gov't and PM have said their models are imperfect and everything is changing rapidly. What possible good would making the projections public serve? #cdnpoli 1/4
They are just projections. There are many factors that could impact actual outcomes over which the government has no control. Several scenarios come to mind with respect to releasing theoretical models to the public... 2/4
The first is mass panic, if worst-case scenario models are heavily publicised. The second is people taking greater risks and disregarding safeguards if best case scenarios are publicised. Both of these are extremely undesireable outcomes. 3/4
