Mayor Vaughn was the man in 1975 classic Jaws, who put profit over safety to the last & insisted businesses operate as usual over July 4th holiday weekend on beaches under attack by a great white shark.

Whilst @BorisJohnson may well now be singing praises of the #NHS his party decimated it over 13 years & we are now heading to possibly the highest death toll in Europe from #COVID19
Boris sees the Mayor from Jaws as a misunderstood hero, but rather like the Mayor as PM Boris failed to see his first duty was to protect & safeguard the lives of citizens of the UK & not the interests of big business
We now have double the death rate in comparison to Ireland, they have 6.5 deaths per 100,000 people in Ireland, whilst we have 14.81 deaths per 100,000 people in the UK.
In S Korea you can go to any drive through or pop up phone booth clinic without a referral. Here we still arguing about front-line workers getting tested - S.Korea’s daily death toll is in single figures
The highest daily death toll recorded in Italy was on 28 March, with 971 deaths. Spain’s highest came five days later with 950. On Good Friday, the death toll in UK hospitals was 980- yet our media was obsessed with Boris playing Sudoku & watching Witnail & I on the same day🙈
Explain why Germany with population of 83 million has 2871 deaths whilst UK with population of 66 million has over 10,612 deaths?Germany introduced mass testing & isolation early on,whilst Boris told us to wash our hands with soap&hot water whilst singing Happy Birthday twice.
Boris was warned in Jan of Covid19 & our NHS & frontline workers needed #PPE but he ignored the information & we have reached 10,612 dead, he’s not a brilliant war-time leader but an accidental arm-chair general completely out of his depth, sending workers to die in the trenches
Instead of front pages about 10,612 dead we got daily updates of Boris’s “high spirits” in ICU bed. There were no ?s about his culpability his shaking hands with the ill, or delays in shutting down the country, his “herd immunity” policy, the lack of testing, #PPE &ventilators
Along with his ministers, Boris claps our #FrontlineNHS but they send them into battle without armour whilst they are gagged from speaking out, with the most recent & grotesque attempt to blame NHS workers for misusing #PPE @MattHancock
“Stay home,protect the NHS, save lives” mantra of Boris & his Govt means we the public are now held responsible &a public health emergency has become a public order issue - Where politics are suspended & Boris becomes a messiah who had the virus & therefore can’t be questioned
Despite being at death’s door he remains PM, even now treated as superhuman, after all his skills at Sudoku prove it to be so, but we are being sold PR at the expense of the true carnage being revealed- who is actually running the country in the middle of this ‘war’?
10,612 dead from zero in five weeks isn’t just a number but are people, communities, families, & friends- PR spin hits front pages with Boris being a ‘fighter’ as though those who died didn’t fight💔 Male virility learned on the rugby fields of Eton didn’t save him our NHS did💙
Where are ?s on hypocrisy of his immigration bill & why his party vilified foreigners working in @NHS yet now he lauds the international nature of ICU nurses that saved his life, why did they not deserve a pay rise, why did he & others clap the blocked pay rise in Parliament?
10,612 dead people are reduced to a byline tucked away on front pages whilst the architect of their deaths is treated as a born again because of ‘BOJO’s Angels’ & what games he played or films he watched (Witnail & I)
We are digging mass graves not in a war zone, or in an earthquake but in the UK and behind the cold number of 10,612 are lives cut short, goodbyes unsaid, potential unfulfilled, families broken, we are officially in a worse state than Italy & Spain
With the UK #COVID19 death toll over 10,000 the question should be whether #HerdImmunity is still govt policy? Boris,Cummings & Hancock’s policies were shaped by behavioural scientists & mathematical modellers not disease & public health experts, has this actually changed?
Like many of the privileged class Boris now appreciates the #NHS when he had to use it- but many how many other COVID19 patients would have 2 nurses staying by their bedside for 48+ hrs- so many do not even get oxygen when they strain to breathe but are told to wait at home
Boris owes his life to the NHS, but we are yet to hear names of those doctors, nurses & Carers who gave their lives mentioned in daily briefings, unlike Afghanistan or Iraq there is no daily roll call of those who die in active service-if this is a war #saytheirnames 💙
If Boris really appreciates that nobody deserves to die, then why is Cummings still in post? #herdimmunity the question remains are a ‘few old & sick people dying still ‘acceptable collateral’?
Those who say now is a time not to play politics, it is in times of emergency & war that Governments must recieve greatest scrutiny -Boris this pandemic is not a war, but a test of our humanity, you still have a chance to save lives but only if you stop acting like Mayor Vaughn
