#Mogadishu may become an epicenter of #COVID19; ministry of health reported highest cases in one day, 35: 32 from Mogadishu and 3 from Somaliland. Total cases are 60; 52 of these are isolating themselves in their homes, three are cared in Martini and one in Airport compound

With its large displaced population crammed in camps inside the city and lack of ventilators, #COVID19 may devastate people in #Mogadishu ; one affordable policy option is to support financially known cases, to reward isolation; continue to contact trace and isolate known cases.

When the state minister died, per MP Nuur:
- his family was told to bury their dead, exposing them to #COVID19
- called public ambulance to help, Amin,
- later doctor gave PPEs to family members and others to bury. Who buried them is not clear, but family members included.

The Ex-MP stressed that there were no procedures designed for burial of #COVID19 patients, despite $5 million allocated for caring #COVID19 patients. This evidences Somalia lacking capacities to oxygenate its patients or even burry them, heralding doom of biblical proportions

The federal police commander, without citing any legal grounds, declares curfews from 8p-5am in #Mogadishu; it would have been effective if social distancing were also endorsed during the day, non. It is formulaic. It also exposes the lack of self-rule.
