1. I commented on the @Telegraph piece by a British MP on the UK’s partnership with @Huawei. Here are some facts on how @Huawei has contributed to the economic and social development of the UK.

2. @Huawei began its UK operation since 2001

3. Between 2013-2017, the value of @Huawei’s investment and procurement was £2.2 billion

4. In February 2018, @Huawei pledged to invest another £3 billion between 2018-2022. Its procurement in the UK was £900 million in 2018.

5. In 2018, @Huawei contributed £ 470 million pounds to the UK revenue. Its total contribution to the 🇬🇧 economy is £1.7 billion

6. Btw 2012-2018 Huawei supported 26200 jobs in the UK

7. @Huawei invested £ 112 million in R & D in the UK in collaboration with over 35 universities and research institutions employing over 300 researchers.

8. @Huawei’s participation in the UK market helped the competitiveness of the UK telecom market by providing high-quality, cost-effective solutions to the telecom operators, hence contributing to the UK govt policy goal of 5G Broadband for all by 2025.

9. I can not boast @Huawei is a gold goose but it has certainly brought benefits to the UK. It is win-win for #China (#Huawei) to have @Huawei in the UK, certainly not a gift or unrequitted love.
