There are so many housing socities in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad who have mobilised resources and manpower to help the needy, migrants and even stray dogs during the Lockdown.

Let's call them the para-#COVIDWarriors
Here are examples from Hinjawadi, Thergaon and NIBM Road
From giving lunch packets to ration kits, these residential clusters of Pune pitched in to help nearby labourers, workers and those who lost their jobs due to the lockdown and subsequent economic inactivity.

In #Hinjawadi, Pune's IT hub, a sprawling township having around 4k flats by the name of Blue Ridge became actively involved in helping others after the lockdown.
The security staff and their family members were given the vacant flats to live on temp basis.
Prerna Kapoor (@PrernaK90007593) from Blue Ridge realised that there are about 35-40 stray dogs, otherwise friendly, who had now turned aggressive because they were starving. They were unable to find food, even hotels were closed so food waste was not available.
Prerna Kapoor @PrernaK90007593 sought permission from the management committee of the society and formed a group of volunteers who now feed the strays in the campus at designated spots.

Manik Malhotra and Ravi Kiran Reddy, also residents of Blue Ridge (Hinjawadi), stepped forward to collect money and made ration kits worth Rs 500 — contributed by many residents — for nearby villagers who were struggling for basics.

Residents welfare associations’ members in different parts of Pune revealed that those living in posh societies usually earn well and parting with just Rs 500-1,000 doesn’t pinch their pocket.
In Thergaon’s Swiss County residential society, Priyanka Singh, Anuradha Kardile and Tejashree Kamble gathered those wanting to help the labourers stranded in their areas by facilitating lunch packets. Residents are encouraged to prepare one extra meal.

Everyday 150 (sometimes more) families prepare one extra meal that is packed and then picked up by local corporator of the area Kailas Barne and distributed among nearby migrants and labourers. Till now around 8,000 food packets have been sent out from their gates.

Members of the NIBM Road Residents Forum took help from @RSSorg to contribute for over 300 ration kits, informed Yogendra Gupta, resident of Grafikon Paradise and member of this Forum.
