Travelled on #VandeBharatMission from #Paris to #NewDelhi @airindiain flight AI 142 with my 1 year old daughter.
Sharing the thread here. (1/16)
The @Indian_Embassy officials including @Naman_ifs, @AnnMaryGeorge7 were present in full force to ensure coordination with authorities at @ParisAeroport. Keeping in mind the #Covid19 protocols, check in started 5 hours before boarding and completed before time (2/16)
Air stewards and hostesses in full PPE gear informed everyone before takeoff that there would be no interaction with anyone during the flight. Food packets (3 - 2 French and 1 Indian) and water for the duration of the entire journey was on our seats. (3/16)
Face masks, hand sanitizer sachets and 1 face shield was kept on each seat when we arrived. Flight left and arrived at @DelhiAirport on time. We were asked to deboard while maintaining social distance and to put on the face shield which was compulsory for the airport (4/16)
Before deboarding we were handed forms from the Ministry of Health declaring our travel details, address, phone number and our health status I.e. whether we were suffering from fever, cough, respiratory distress and also if we were suffering from any of the comorbidities. (5/16)
Upon arrival we had to first submit this form at the counter where alphanumeric codes were assigned to each person and pasted at the back of the passport. Our temperature was taken using non contact infrared thermometer. (6/16)
We were then led to roped enclosures and asked to sit on numbered chairs appropriately distanced from another. Once the group was complete I.e. a certain number of people had been assigned to it, a group leader from @CISFHQrs was assigned to us (7/16)
The @CISFHQrs group leader explained to us how we were going to proceed i.e. in queues while maintaining social distance first to immigration and then baggage claim. As we proceeded towards immigration I could join 2 queues, either diplomatic or one for infant in arms (8/16)
It wouldn't have mattered because the normal immigration queue moved even faster. We lined up as group wise again and the @CISFHQrs group leader led us to the baggage area and then again towards the exit where we waited for 5 minutes till the group before us cleared (9/16)
We then exited the airport to an adjacent building which was a #Covid19 Medical Center of the @govt_delhi moving from the jurisdiction of the airport authorities to those of the @govt_delhi. (10/16)
@DelhiPolice officials directed passengers to various counters State wise. Medical teams in full PPE gear once again checked the temperature of each passengers and asked about the symptoms. We were also made to sign a declaration that we had @Arogyasetu apps on our phones (11/16)
From @DMNewDelhi/@DMSouthWest1
office SDM Piyush Rohankar was in charge of the medical centre and doing an excellent job of guiding the process, talking to passengers, inquiring their requirements and doing his best to address their requests. (12/16)
From the medical centre the passangers could leave for whatever quarantine facility they had chosen or assigned to depending upon the protocols of @govt_delhi and other State Governments on sanitised DTC buses. (13/16)
The whole process took about 3 hours from the time of landing to existing the airport. Excellent work being done by all government agencies. Uncountable hours of care and hard work despite the exhaustion and risk of exposure is truly commendable. (14/16)
@CISFHQrs, @MoHFW_INDIA, @DelhiAirport @DelhiPolice, @govt_delhi @DMNewDelhi all working in close coordination and delivering quality service to all passengers. Kudos for a job well done! (15/16 )
No aged persons or children other than my own seen during the entire travel or at the airport. Parents who had the option of keeping their children safe were rightly exercising that option. No food was available inside the airport except the @CostaCoffee at the exit (16/16)
