Last week, @didoharding who is heading the govt’s Test & Trace system told MPs the system won’t be fully operational at local level until the end of June, 4 weeks after lockdown restrictions ease.
The govt are shifting talk about the app from being “an essential component” to being “a cherry on the top.”
#HelenWhately: “The app will support the...the...the...the...as we go further down the path.”
Meanwhile, the chief operating officer of the NHS scheme, said he hoped it would be operational at a world-class level within 3-4 months.

Second highest deaths in world
Test, track & trace - 3 months too late
Closing borders - 3 months too late
Face masks - 3 months too late
Care home protection - 2 months too late
PPE - too late
“I’m very proud of our record.”
@BorisJohnson
Proud of the implementation of a strategy first hinted at in the PM’s #GreenwichSpeech on 3 February?
A strategy whereby the UK achieves #HerdImmunity before competitor countries, & emerges like Superman “with it’s cloak flowing”.
