To have a dedicated and motivated team of nurses and attendants is the backbone of ICU care. I was lucky to have a great team but every shift needs the same !

The most difficult part was not the duties but being in #quarantine which really played on my psyche and it’s even more difficult for the patients to have no #family around and seeing everyone in #PPE
I was offered money to get chai from a 70 year old who later needed drugs as he wanted to run away home! I was offered the biggest notes by another one just because I helped him dial his son’s number :(
In layers of PPE we forget talking to the patients, anxious patients do not recover! So counsel and reassure :)
