AS A FORMER @rcmpgrcpolice (Ret'd), allow me to clarify some recent terminology appearing in the media #MSM:

IT WON'T BE OBVIOUS BUT, the use of the word «EXAMINING» is a synonym for INVESTIGATION.

#WEscandal #WECharity #cdnpoli
theglobeandmail.com/politics/artic…
When an #RCMP FILE NO. is assigned, it becomes an investigation. Period. Evidence is examined; fact patterns are investigated.

There exists strict Statistics Canada reporting requirements, including an OSR Classification - which delineates, the type of offence. Once a FILE is
opened, the outcome will also be tracked and reported (i.e. Unfounded, Charges, Cleared Other), ergo an investigation.

What happens during an investigation can vary, covering a wide spectrum of considerations, everything from the approach taken to the assignment of resources.
Not all investigations receive equal treatment. It is reasonable to presume given its potential scope and obvious sensitivity, an investigation of any situation surrounding #WECharity and its affiliates, would be multi-faceted and classified as a «Major Case» with its own
concomitant procedures, occurrence management and reporting system requirements.

In closing, by employing alternate (and arguable, obscuring) phraseology like 'examining' [italics], this will raise inevitable questions, which may be viewed as a way of avoiding the readily
understood (and meaning-laden) term, "investigating".

Plainly said, words matter. Dependent on the choice of phraseology, it can become a matter of optics(and deniability) - #RCMP @rcmpgrcpolice isn't investigating "WE organization", it's merely 'examining'[italics] the matter.

The Liberal government's treatment of Vice-Admiral Mark Norman was reprehensible.

Mechanically parroting @liberal_party talking points assigned to him,@MarkGerretsen failed to defend a reputation BUT INSTEAD dutifully played his part in a politically-motivated prosecution.

The other day, I (semi-) jokingly referred to the pungent odour of Skunk Cabbage emanating from #WE Charity in Cabbagetown.

Simply said, a shell game beginning to be uncovered. BUT, this is no game. +

The orchestrations and sleight of hand AND the (obscenely large)amount involved demands an 'competently-conducted criminal investigation free of political interference.'

As a former @rcmpgrcpolice,I chose these words carefully. ENOUGH. NO MORE being toyed with by individuals
who have a vested interest in protecting the fruits of corruption and safeguarding their self-interest ... AND obfuscating (if not, obliterating) evidence.

ENOUGH.

Plainly, the amount «UNACCOUNTED FOR» is beyond significant.Risking serious understatement, it's horribly 'out of plumb'.

I have labelled this a "First (1st) Draft" for obvious reasons - Feedback is welcome.
