Footage shows a Azerbaijani APC going up into flames
#NagornoKarabakh: the Armenian side has released more footage of Azerbaijani military vehicles being destroyed on the front.
Reports on the ground however state it's the Azerbaijani side gaining ground on several points
#NagornoKarabakh: Armenian forces are documenting some of the losses suffered by the Azerbaijani military along the front-line.
It is clear the Azerbaijani forces failed to advance on some positions

#NagornoKarabakh: fighting continues for a second time along the front.
Azerbaijani artillery in targeting the Armenian-held town of Martakert (Aghdara)
#NagornoKarabakh: on the relatively open terrain along the frontline Armenian forces seem to be having a pretty easy time hitting Azerbaijani tanks and armoured vehicles
#NagornoKarabakh: where the Armenians have the advantage of the terrain the Azerbaijanis dominate the air.
But it remains to he seen whether these Turkish drones will prove to be a game-changer
#NagornoKarabakh: as has happened to often in this conflict it's the civilians who become victims of the fighting.
This was the village of Naftalan, on the Azerbaijani side of the front.
#NagornoKarabach: it was suspected for a longer time but @Reuters is now confirming the story. #Turkey is sending Syrian mercenaries to #Azerbaijan to fight against Armenians.
#NagornoKarabakh: list of the 58 Armenian soldiers who have been killed in the fighting so far. A lot were young (18-19), most weren't even born when this war started. Yet now they've lost their lives in it.
The international community should do everything it can to stop this
#NagornoKarabakh: for the first time since fighting started Azerbaijani forces have targeted #Armenia π¦π² itself, hitting an empty bus
Note that there are at least 55.000 people living in this city
#NagornoKarabakh: very interesting article on the Azerbaijani objective in this military campaign.
It appears the π¦πΏ military is set on retaking Fuzuli and Jebrail, two regions outside of NK which before the war were home to 100.000s of Azerbaijanis eurasianet.org/as-fighting-raβ¦
#NagornoKarabakh: very intense footage from the Armenian side of the front-line by HetqTV.
Based on the flat terrain it's probably in the southern part of the region, even here the Armenian forces seem to be dug in pretty good
#NagornoKarabakh: video reportedly showing Armenian forces recapturing a position on the frontline
#NagornoKarabakh: protests are spreading across Azerbaijani cities in NW #Iran over perceived Iranian support to #Armenia.
#NagornoKarabakh: more footage of Azerbaijani drone strikes on Armenian positions.
On the largely tree-less terrain along the front there are few places to find cover from the drones above
One thing that should be acknowledged when discussing #NagornoKarabakh is that the Azerbaijani people have a deep collective trauma. A trauma of their country falling apart before it was even independent, a trauma of 100.000s being pushed out of their home oc-media.org/opinions/opiniβ¦
10 civilians were reportedly injured, no reports of any deaths so far
In between all the videos of drone strikes, tank hits and artillery fire it is more important than ever to amplify the voices if those calling for peace in #NagornoKarabakh.
Voices of those who lost a loved one or suffered themselves in the fighting
#NagornoKarabakh: 11 years ago a proposal was made by the #Minsk group to π¦π²π¦πΏ.
Although it is not a perfect solution, it is one of the few solutions out there where both sides stand to gain something
#NagornoKarabakh: #Azerbaijan claims to have captured the Armenian town of Mataghis (Madagiz) in the north of the NK region.
For days Azerbaijani drones have been targeting Armenian forces in the area
#NagornoKarabkh: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has announced his intention to give the captured town of Mataghis a Azerbaijani name. It has been a Armenian town since Soviet times.
In case you wondered what would be the fate of the Karabakh Armenians
#NagornoKarabakh: for the first time since fighting begun Armenian shells have hit #Ganja, the second largest city of #Azerbaijan, killing 1 civilian and injuring 4 others
#NagornoKarabakh: footage from Mathagis (Madagiz) confirms the town's capture by the Azerbaijani military.
The #Artsakh flag is taken down and replaced by the π¦πΏ
#NagornoKarabakh: the village of Talish also appears to have been captured.
Azerbaijani forces are making some swift advances on the northern side of the front. Martakert (Aghdara) is now in a vulnerable position
#NagornoKarabakh: the #Artsakh capital of #Stepanakert (pop. 55.000) has been under heavy shelling by the Azerbaijani military throughout the day.
Footage clearly indicates the usage of cluster munition on the city
I've just come back from #Venezuela π»πͺ where I spent 2.5 weeks, witnessing the run-up to the presidential vote, and what was arguably the most outrageous election steal in the modern history of Latin America.
I'll share some thoughts below π§΅
First off before going into the political situation I just wanted to stress how great it was to be reminded how easy it is to fall in love with Caracas, and how amazing the Venezuelan people are.
Someone I'd met briefly 7 years ago, would greet me again as if we were family.
I was never big about celebrating my birthday, so I figured I'll just arrive in Venezuela that day, do some work and let the day pass quietly, no big deal.
Well that wouldn't fly when I told my Venezuelan friends there. They insisted on celebrating, and even brought friends.
I just came back a trip around the resistance territories of southern Karenni state (Myanmar).
During my time I went to the frontlines, visited IDP camps in the jungles, stayed the night at an abandoned junta base, met resistance fighters, refugees and community leaders.
π§΅:
Karenni state (also known as Kayah state) as around the size of Qatar, which makes it the smallest of Myanmar's different states and regions.
Yet because of its proximity to the capital Naypyidaw (120 km) it is still a very strategic region.
After three years of anti-coup resistance and armed struggle around 90% of Karenni is under resistance control.
Karenni is divided into 7 townships: Loikaw (capital), Demoso, Hpruso, Bawlakhe, Hpasawng, Shadaw, Mese.
Seriously watch the original IDF video (re-uploaded minutes ago). At 1:48 the IDF spokesman literally said they found a single gun "just minutes ago", same room as where @TreyYingst walks through in his report. Yet Trey's report shows two extra guns placed in the exact spot
Although it doesn't disprove that the guns are from Hamas or that there are any guns in the hospital. It is a very clear sign that the IDF is moving guns around the hospital and places them in suspicious locations.
This puts everything they show about the hospital into question.
#Palestine π΅πΈ BREAKING: AJE reports that Israeli forces have informed the staff of al-Shifa that they will storm the #Gaza hospital tonight.
#Palestine π΅πΈ: multiple reports now that Israeli forces are INSIDE al-Shifa hospital in #Gaza city and are "carrying out operations" within the facility.
#Palestine π΅πΈ: the #IDF has released footage of their troops supposedly dropping off medical supplies at al-Shifa hospital.
But everything that's important is missing here. Where are the patients? Where are they alleged #Hamas tunnels?
The dry season is starting in #Myanmar π²π². The drier weather and more accessible roads will mean an intensification of fighting between the junta and resistance across the country.
#Myanmar π²π²: junta warplanes have repeatedly targeted the village of Nyaung Kone in the Mogok Township (#Mandalay region) as fighting between junta forces and #TNLA & #PDF resistance groups is ongoing in the region.
#Myanmar π²π²: junta forces clashed with local #PDF resistance in the Tabayin Township of #Sagaing region, after the soldiers ventured out into the countryside and tried to enter a resistance-controlled village.
