When Liz Cheney tweeted a picture of her dad wearing a mask and wrote “Dick Cheney says WEAR A MASK. #realmenwearmasks” it was typical of the fighting masculinity with masculinity that reached its apex with the dangerous Trump #COVID19 circus
I started reading article after article of the shit that so many men use to avoid wearing masks and I became increasingly enraged at the lengths that researchers will go to to coax and tip toe around men’s egos.
So I decided to collage a bunch of that fuckery.
It’s less “toxic” masculinity and more outright dangerous and deadly masculinity.
When a white supremacist sexual predator is elected president, it gives a green light from the highest office to other white supremacist misogynists. This is white supremacist patriarchal terrorism incited by Trump google.com/amp/s/mobile.r…#MichiganTerrorists#GovernorWhitmer
And when white supremacist patriarchy is in power, it is a supremely shitty time to be anyone who is not a white, cishet, able-bodied man. h/t @rerutled
When Trump was elected a whole bunch of white men blathered that the “suffering working class” & “economic anxiety” drove his election - as if Black and people of colour working class didn’t suffer.
I am writing to you because I want to interrupt the patriarchy before it socializes you to become the white woman who interrupts the Black woman so that the white man can speak. #VPDebate2020
I am writing to you because I want you to know the importance of telling a man to shut the fuck up.
I am writing to you because I want you to know the importance and power of being dangerous when you ask the right questions; questions that challenge, not comfort oppressors.
I am writing to you because I want you to know that “getting along” & “uniting” & “being civil” w/white supremacist patriarchy makes you complicit in its crimes. We must never “get along” w/fascists. We must never “unite” w/white supremacists. We must always “argue” w/patriarchy
Someone send her my book The Seven Necessary Sins For Women and Girls and disabuse her of “civility” and “unity” when we’re fighting fascism and patriarchy. Fight!
And profanity is politically important. #VPDebate2020
It is imperative to understand how civility, decorum, manners, and the like are used to uphold authority—patriarchy, whiteness, other forms of privilege. We are urged to acquiesce as a form of maintaining that authority. lithub.com/mona-eltahawy-…#PenceHarrisDebate#VPDebate2020
No unity or civility with fascists or white supremacists. I refuse to “get along” with anyone who doesn’t recognize my humanity. Fuck the patriarchy
Ha! That fascist fuck #Trump has nominated three for SCOTUS!
And for federal courts these are Trump’s judges - overwhelmingly white men fill federal benches. And Black men fill federal prisons #PenceHarrisDebate#VPDebates
I have zero sympathy with a white supremacist fascist fuck who is the human equivalenet of a superspreader for a pandemic he repeatedly denied existed. How many people has he infected? feministgiant.substack.com/p/editorial-fe…

A study of children & their parents around the world that I quote in The Seven Necessary Sins For Women and Girls found that gender stereotypes are set at an early age. By the time they’re 10, girls have accepted they’re weak & vulnerable; boys that they’re strong & independent
It resonates as we watch the dangerous masculinity of #Trump & other men engage in by refusing to wear a mask, scoff at #Covid_19 etc “As they grow up, boys are more likely to engage in dangerous and deadly behavior ― drug abuse, smoking, reckless driving” google.com/amp/s/www.huff…
“Such differences are socially not biologically determined.”
The study released in 2017 by the World Health Organization and Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health found Kids learn this “truth” about gender from their parents, friends and teachers at a very young age.
