(1) Brief thread about the recent election in New Zealand.

The majority of NZ voters are more brainwashed than even I thought they were.

Having now seen one of the worst NZ election results for conservatives in my lifetime, I think we're at the point the USA was, pre-2016.

(2) Remember the USA before Trump entered politics in 2015? (Real) conservatives were despondent, but still fighting as best they could to limit the damage Democrats and the GOPe were doing to the country.

GOPe = Establishment Republicans.

(3) That's what NZ is like right now. So I hold on, protecting myself as best I can, economically & in terms of safety. The chance to put things right has been pushed further out.

Not necessarily for the full 3 years of a term, but probably.

The Labour-led govt is emboldened.

(4) Almost all swing voters were seduced by the incumbent government's covid "response."

As an archipelago that is chiefly accessed by air, NZ could have kept the virus out completely.

Labour waited as long as possible to close the borders.

Then they let the border weaken.

(5) I now find myself surrounded mostly by people who believe this was a "good response" to the virus.

2+2=5, in this once intelligent country.

Of course, to question their faith-based belief system is a sure sign you're on the lunatic fringe & you watch too much FOX news.

(6) Never mind that no serious conservative in the US or otherwise watches anything on FOX news these days without a high index of suspicion as to it's unadmitted yet glaringly obvious bias in favor of the left.

Democrats and the fevered remnants of the GOPe control FOX.

(7) The brainwashed group of Kiwis are, at this point, so far gone that I have no interest in engaging with them about politics, or even science, medicine, or the law.

It's highly unlikely that I can move to the US within the next 2-3yrs, so I've found a way to live with it.

(8) By comparing their beliefs to those of Americans before so many were "redpilled" ("The Matrix" not a political reference), I gain more understanding and am thus better at patience.

Most are not trying to annoy us, they are simply confused. I don't have the energy for it.

(9) Reagan described the US as a "shining city on a hill," because the rest of us look to you as the world's longest-lasting example of a truly constitutional republic.

I'm talking about those of us who understand why that is.

America, you give us hope.

(10) Like in 2016, the 2020 US election will have more impact on countries like NZ than our own elections do.

Even though NZ's establishment hates the USA for her freedom, we are still here, the longsuffering #MilitantNormals who know the spirit of #ANZUS can never go away.

(11) America is so close to election day when, godwilling, through peaceful protest at the ballot box, real hope will be renewed for #FourMoreYears.

The chance of restoring the rule of law in the USA increases in the second term of the Trump Era.

(13) More federal judges at every level need to be in place, & they will be. It doesn't end with ACB.

The sickness at the top levels of the DOJ & FBI will be treated. I have total faith in that, provided we win office & majorities.

All of this will impact countries like NZ.

(14) I don't subscribe to a lot of the beliefs that some on our side do. But there will be enough criminal activity uncovered, that all "allied" governments will face a reckoning with their public.

The overarching foreign policy goals will continue, such as containing China.

(15) If you're trapped for now in a left-run family, company, city, county, state, or country, take heart.

It won't be like this forever. The momentum for change is increasing, even when it doesn't appear that way.

"You can't fool all of the people, all of the time."
