/ This kind of deliberately divisive and misleading headline about "woke foods" is transparent and deliberate misinformation. CTV is doing @erinotoole's propaganda work. Telling lies like this, promoting race hate and misinformation ought to be punished. Image
/ Long story short: @WholeFoods tried to ban red poppy badges to support its (actually inexcusable) US ban on visible BLM support, and here, the media and their conservative paymasters are: lying, making it out to be 'leftist' #WokeFoods bullies trying to ban poppies. Image
/ @fordnation is boycotting @WholeFoods , because "little people" should totally care that the scumbag #premier who won't protect Ontarians from small business and home evictions is boycotting @JeffBezos the insipid, guillotinable billionaire who exploits millions. Image
/ Instead of having a conversation about how it's OK for @WholeFoods workers to advocate for their own rights: the "BLM" camp is now being blamed by these media/Con liars. We're also being told by politicians that poppies aren't political. I'm sorry, war is politics, kids. Image
/ Take it from the descendant of a #KoreanWar vet, not all wars are remembered equally. Poppies evoke images of brave white Canadian boys coming late to the fight against Hitler, or dying by scores settling a squabble between some inbred European elites. Image
6) When we wear our poppies to celebrate British/Canadian sacrifice in the 'good' wars, are we also wearing them to commemorate British Canadian soldiers who worked to support the Confederacy and helped keep #slaves in chains? Image
/ Do they commemorate Kitchener's Boer War concentration camps? How about all the soldiers who were deployed to put down the Red River Rebellion?

I know! We're wearing them to remember those brave souls who fought for our freedom to Golf in #Oka, Quebec. Image
/ Perhaps we wear them for the RCAF officer who brought 14th Waffen SS 'Galician' veterans into Canada (and your voting constitencies) by positioning them as 'anti-Soviet conscripts' rather than Hitler's elite Concentration Camp managers. espritdecorps.ca/history-featur…
/ "love the poppy" is beat into our heads from the earliest days of a white boy's school career. Dour white veterans nod approvingly as they stab our tender chests in the shopping mall after the red badge of capitalism slips off its useless pin for the umpteenth time. Image
/ I tried wearing a #WhitePoppy to express myself and my deep and personal desire for peace. A family member, (related to the above mentioned veteran) called me a "greasy little faggot who should be SET ON FIRE!!!!!!!" He voted for you, by the way @fordnation Image
/ We already have a symbol for opposing Hitler and opposing tyrants, @erinotoole and @fordnation. It's called the 'Antifa flag'. But, now that we see you for the divisive, lying, racist slobs you are, I can see how this symbol might not be one you like. Image
/ People were defying Hitler facing jail, death or disappearance- and they did it mostly unarmed, for a decade, while Neville Chamberlain was still appeasing-- and while Nazi parties in CA/US were open parts of the white communities @fordnation and @erinotoole come from. Image
/ #antifa resisted Hitler bravely, without the power of the military industrial complex or a 'wartime economy'. @fordnation @erinotoole insist we commemorate those the state sent to die, but not the people who made a stand before total war was in the state's self interest. Image
/ Your parties and constituents are pretty outspoken opposing people who stand up for their rights, their livelihoods, #health, #science, #fact, #reality or #commonsense, really. I mean using COVID legislation to empower @CharlesHMcVety? Really? What do you actually stand for? Image
/ It is clear from the @WholeFoods response that you intend to blame everything you don't like on a 'leftist mob', because it suits you to lie. Conservatives prove again that they're petty gangsters and overt fascists. Just look south where the #election is STILL in uncertainty Image
/ In closing: I can't stand liars like @erinotoole, @fordnation, and the corporate media like @CTVNews who deliberately and calculatingly give them air-time to push a falsified and deliberately divisive big-money agenda.
/ Be VERY careful when you glorify war, or a nation's war history, because you're taking ownership of that entire history: including genocide, slavery, empires, concentration camps and forced displacements. Full stop: When you wear a #poppy you're also honouring those things. Image
/ But perhaps it shouldn't be surprising, since war is a form of ritual human sacrifice, and we claim to honour that #sacrifice by the poor, as 'remembrance' on behalf of the elite and their interests one day a year. Image
/ So, back to the poppy: it symbolizes the sacrifice of the working classes in elite wars. So UNLESS you're @JeffBezos, saying 'Black Lives Matter' should be a lot LESS partisan than deciding which wars or whose soldiers are good enough for remembrance. Image
/ But invariably, the politicians most intent on telling us we must commemorate #sacrifices made for our "rights and freedoms" (economy) are the same politicians who work behind closed doors and in secret meetings to strip us of those rights at every turn. Image
/ @erinotoole and @fordnation condemn a ban on poppies but not a ban on people advocating for their own basic humanity. It's controversial to say #BlackLivesMatter but not "sacrifice yourself for the elite's interests", which I guess explains the Conservative #COVID response. Image
