1. The war on #Tigray is not between the federal government & a rogue element in the North as @AbiyAhmedAli would have the world believe.
2. It is rather a conflict between an authoritarian, unitarist & ultra-nationalist fascist forces of dictator @AbiyAhmedAli coupled with President for life Isaias Afewerki of #Eritrea on the one hand, & pro-autonomy, pro-constitutional, multi-national federal forces on the other.
3. The #WarOnTigray is not a mere power struggle. It is rather about the vengeance of ultra-nationalist forces from the Amhara region, the Federal government, & the Isaias regime in Eritrea against what they believe is their common enemy.
4. The ultra-nationalist forces in Amhara region are mobilizing innocent farmers from throughout Amhara in the promise that they would give them lands from Wolkait and Raya.
5. Isaias is on this war to avenge the TPLF for their role in defeating him in the 1998-2002 war.
6. This is an unholy alliances of forces who have grudges against the people & the gov’t of Tigray. Their aim is not just defeating the TPLF but rather having Tegaru on their knees, shaming them, & if possible exterminating them from earth.
7. The world needs to know that Tegaru are up to defend their dignity, their rights, & their homeland with ultimate sacrifice & honor. But they would prefer this to end b4 it is 2late & an all inclusive national dialogue is convened 4the sake of the country, the region & beyond.
8. The ppl of Tigray always choose peace because they know the costs of war. But the ppl of #Tigray also know that freedom & self-administration are inherent rights worth fighting for. For Tegaru, self-defense is not just a choice but an imperative of survival. #StopWarOnTigray

1. Ethiopia remains one of the largest recipient of humanitarian assistance in the world & now further exacerbated by disasters such as continuous infightings, #COVID19 pandemic, swarm of desert locust & climate induced crop failure.
2. Worse-off is the recent call for bloodshed by the grossly incompetent leadership of @AbiyAhmedAli. The nation is inching everyday into balkanization because of his shortsighted policies.
1. The #WarOnTigray, as the Oromo public intellectual @awolallo rightly put it in his latest appearance on @AJENews, is ''an extension of the war that @AbiyAhmedAli has been prosecuting in places like Oromia”.
2. The recent military confrontation in #Tigray cannot be properly understood without making a reference to the underlying nature of & the alignment of forces in the already ongoing conflict dynamics all over #Ethiopia.
1. We’ve learnt from credible sources that the tyrannical regime of @AbiyAhmedAli & his cronies are in a political & diplomatic charm offensive in galvanizing domestic & international partners so as to label Tigray’s ruling party, the TPLF, as a terrorist government. #Ethiopia
2. It is a fact that the TPLF is the only legitimate party and government in Ethiopia that is in power with a renewed mandate to govern Tigray with more than 2.7 million people voting for it.
Contrary to what is transpired by @AbiyAhmedAli & his mouthpiece media outlets, Abiy declared war on #Tigray because Tigray is the only region in #Ethiopia
1. To hold election as per the 🇪🇹n constitution exposing the unconditional extension of power by Abiy Ahmed. #SayNoToWar
To those who want us to take @AbiyAhmedAli ‘s recent cheap political ploy seriously, we say no for so many reasons including: 1/n
Because Abiy waged war on Tigray the minute he blocked foreign investment in our land. Right when he failed to reopen the road blockade or when he aided & abetted it resulting in record level inflation in the region that made life unbearable for the already impoverished public2/n
When he went off on his selective prosecution raid only on Tegaru public figures. When he chose not to trial suspects involved in the June 22/2019 assassination of General Seare Mekonnen, Chief of staff of the National defense Forces of Ethiopia, & Major General Gezai Abera. 3/n
