I find it curious, that she went on to say (re the hockey team) that " A number of the team came back and spread it to family/work/community"
Wouldn't the same be true for students, teachers, staff at schools - who also return home - and spread it ?

Here's what I found on the #BCCDC website which Dr Henry says would answer our ?'s re how she knows transmission isn't happening from schools:
So, help me out here ppl - where in this data there is any indication of schools not being of concern? as of wk 47, there seems to me, to be a significant % of unknown transmission sources. 724+731=1455 cases where cause can't be traced? (+2463-local (undefined) 'clusters')
Or, to look at the totals line - >50% fall in the 'unknown' and 'pending/missing' columns.
It doesn't surprise me that "people on twitter" are asking for explanation of the data - so we can believe that schools aren't sources of spread of infection
I understand and share the skepticism of many, of the so-called data driven #BC#DBH#PHO#BCCovid19 health policies (or lack thereof)
.#DBH hangs her hat on 'being kind'- refuses any mandatory restrictions; while at same time, laying blame on anyone but her/her policies. This wk it's hockey team, last wk- private small gatherings- wk before it was teachers' car pooling/lunching together.
"Most people", she says, are doing the right things... following the recommendations. But it's the ones who *are not* that are the problem, imo. I think it would be lovely if everyone behaved nicely... we wouldn't need any laws, any police, any penalties for anything...
No laws, no courts, no lawyers, no judges, needed.
Sigh... it would be lovely indeed.
Just the power of our wishing and our expectations, would make everyone behave with kindness.
Anyways, I guess I'm digressing a little...
But, if you all follow Dr. Henry's advice... you won't be following twitter anymore anyways...
I need to give credit to who inspired this thread 'o mine...Thx @lkretzel1130 !
And I'd like to question Dr. Henry about her refusal to impose restrictions on what seem, logically, to be more significant sources of uptake and spread: things such as northern man-camps - where cases are rising and where infected workers travel home to isolate.
Why don't any of the reporters ask this...
Why doesn't the "data" tell us...?
Where exactly is "home" to these people?
How many communities and travel providers do they transmit thru (while infected) to return home to isolate?
How many come back from leave in their home towns... unknowingly infected... and spread it to other workers?
And really, I have the same question in regard to schools.
I'm just not satisfied that Dr. Henry , #PMO or @jjhorgan , have *any* adequate data to assert that schools and these camps, are not spreading this contagion.
THAT, my friends, is why we here on twitter, and elsewhere; would like some proof that the #BC#PMO policies are based on science and data; rather than sugar n spice n everything nice.
Dear 650000+ #USA citizens currently living in #Canada,
I don't know what brought you here (welcome to #WeTheNorth land)
But I can't understand why only 30500 of you voted in #2016USElxn. That's downright pitiful by any #voter turnout standard... #USPoli#Toronto#Vancouver
..The results of the upcoming (66 days) #2020Election will have profound repercussions to not only #USA, but to #Canada . As a Canadian, I'm not eligible to vote. What's your excuse if you're a #USAexpat?
Hey #YYJ#Victoria#Tree#Arborist peeps - can anyone id this conifer for me? It's in my neighbouring yard - home to generations of birdies: chickadees, nuthatches, downy woodpeckers, wrens.. and it's about to be demolished for new condo; and I'm heartbroken.
The new condo being built by @ARYZE_devcon will be home to 6 'boutique' units; which will do nothing to improve the affordable housing shortage in #YYJ aryze.ca/project/956-he…
