On-site engineers have said that they expect "probably next week" to be told to focus on getting *one part* of the site operational in time, about 1/3rd of the total acreage, to at least be able to claim 'It's up and running."

Here's the kicker - Part of the delay is attributed to late-delivery of erosion-resistant underground drainage channel cladding sections, a contract that was shifted from a Swiss supplier to a UK based one just "a few months ago".
Switzerland is actually very big in the Pre-Formed Industrial Steel market, precisely because they almost never fail to deliver on time in full.

I take a keen interest in this matter, by the way, as one of my own small business endeavours relies on imports / exports from / to the EU. Thankfully, not perishable goods.
