(For a frame of reference, this is a friend with a masters of education.)
D (Dallas)- The vaccine is good, I’ve read the trial protocol and the efficacy paper.
F (friend)- So what do you think?
D- I’ve got my spot in line to get it, I’m getting it.
D- The vaccine is going to generate a have and have nots in our society. Not getting it will hurt your lively hood.
F- What about its safety? Long term side effects?
D- Most side effects are diagnosed within the first 2 months of a full dose. We are 3 months in.
F- Wasn’t it developed to fast?
D- This style of vaccine has been under development for 15 yrs. The speed of the trial boils down to money and willing participants. All vaccine trials could go this fast if, we could get ppl to participate and we put money into this science.
F- What’s the down side of getting it?
D- None, you get it and possibly feel bad for a day or you are the 5% it doesn’t work on. Or you get it and can get some life’s freedoms back. Shopping, travel and freedom to work with less fear.
F- So there is no downside to getting it?
D- Not that I have seen. Just remember, this is a risk management tool, it doesn’t remove your need for a mask but it will give you more liberties then you have now.
F- Ok, I’ll get the vaccine.
I hope this helps you when talking to your friends about this. We have a long way to go and need to get as many ppl on board as fast as possible.

You have questions, we have the answers! #thread 🧵 we were recently asked “If I get the vaccine, can I still get #COVID19?” Well yes, and here’s why.
Alright lest go back to immunology 101 and correct me if I’m wrong on any point, it’s been a hott min.
The first thing you need to know is that a vaccine needs about 3 weeks to get your body ready to fend off the virus.
This 3 weeks is important, during that time, we’re you exposed to #COVID19 the day you got the shot, a week later or 2 weeks later? The timing matters as to how many antibodies your body has to work with.
Day 1- 0
Week 1- a bit
Week 2- probably enough
Week 3- full strength
First off, an apology. Yesterday we were calling the @pfizer released study protocol the trial study data paper. Why? Who the fuck even knows at this point. Sorry.
Let’s lay out what we are looking at. The study states that there are 2 separate dosing regimes. That’s cool but which one works better?
The trial is well populated world wide, which is great but then, why are there so few covid cases currently in it? How was the screening done and are the cases representative of the populous in general.
As we head into winter with #COVID19 I have been asked what I see as being an issue that we should be looking further into. #Thread 🧵
I am currently worried about cold surfaces becoming areas for fomite (shit you touch) transmission of the Rona. This idea has been rolling around in my brain for a while but honestly I though we would not be here with the cases we have.
This is how I got here in my thought process. This article from Forbes and the pre-print in August forbes.com/sites/robertgl…
Well America here we are, in the cusp of having a new president. Dallas here, lets have a chat. #Thread 🧵
For this chat, we are going to assume @JoeBiden has won the election ok.
4 years ago I started this account on a knee jerk reaction to what was happening with the NPS accounts. I could not let a nefarious actor own this space. At first I had no idea what I was in for. The account had no followers till @StollmeyerEU picked up on us.
Good afternoon America! If you’re employer is using it or thinking about using the @EdenHealthInc app as a workforce covid screener, you should reconsider. The security flaws are Huuuge!
1- The App is 100% trust with no verify. You answer these questions yes or no. We realize it’s a screener app but there is no check of your gps data or even accessing it. There is no checking of blue tooth to see if any transmission could have happened.
And what the actual fuck is up with question 5? How do you answer that? This bitch needs her ice cream. The store won’t deliver that shit.
