🚨BREAKING: Trump begged Republican @GaSecofState Brad Raffensperger to “find” enough votes to overturn his defeat in an extraordinary 1-hour phone call Saturday that experts say raises “legal questions.”

💣@washingtonpost *got a recording* of the conversation—Trump alternately berated Raffensperger, tried to flatter him, begged him and THREATENED him with vague criminal consequences if Raffensperger refused to pursue his false claims, warning that he was taking “a big risk.”
Trump repeatedly claimed: “There’s no way I lost Georgia. There’s no way. We won by hundreds of thousands of votes.”🙄

“So look. All I want to do is this. I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have. Because we won the state.”

THIS IS NOT LEGAL.
Trump THREATENED both Raffensperger and Ryan Germany (Raffensperger’s lawyer), suggesting that if they don’t find that thousands of ballots in Fulton County were illegally destroyed to block investigators—which did NOT happen—they would be subject to “criminal” liability.🤬
Legal experts say that by pressuring Raffensperger to “find” votes and to deploy investigators who “want to find answers,” Trump appears to be encouraging him to doctor the election outcome in #Georgia.

This is a #felony.🤬
Trump cited FALSE conspiracy theories to “support” his claims:

-thousands of dead people voted
-an Atlanta election worker scanned 18,000 forged ballots 3 times each and “100%” were for @JoeBiden
-thousands of voters living out of state came back illegally just to vote
The stupidest part: Trump committed (yet another) CRIME to try to flip the election results in #Georgia, but even with Georgia, Trump STILL LOST THE ELECTION.😂

Sick inmates were treated at the hospital—guards were forced stay close *without adequate PPE*.
Wright emailed hospital administrators about the risk to prison staff, but her manager “told me to shut my mouth.”🤬

THIS IS SO WRONG.

🚨BREAKING: the new, more contagious #coronavirus B 1.1.7 variant—1st identified in the UK—now found in at least 2 people in #California and #Colorado.

Neither person had a travel history, meaning that this new variant is spreading thru US communities.🦠

Even worse, only 2.1 million have been vaccinated—FAR SHORT of the 20 million by year end promised by the Trump Admin.🤬
The 2nd case of infection by this new #coronavirus variant was reported in San Diego County in a 30-yo-man who’d NOT traveled outside the US—a sign that the variant is already spreading thru US communities. A household contact has developed symptoms and is being tested.🦠😷

🚨BAD NEWS: 2 cases of a new "more transmissible" #coronavirus variant linked to #SouthAfrica identified in the UK.

This new variant appears to have *mutated further* than the new B.1.1.7 variant recently discovered in the UK. [thread]

CONCERNING: The UK recently reported a its own new #coronavirus variant (B.1.1.7) that may be more transmissible.

The UK and South African (501.V2) variants appear to be "more transmissible," but they're "very different" and are "different mutations".🧬

Both #coronavirus variants have the *same N501Y mutation* in the spike gene. The South African 501.V2 variant:

▶️Is more common in younger adults
▶️Has higher viral load, spreads more easily

The vaccines still appear to work, but that could change.💉

GOOD NEWS: the @WHO says the #coronavirus vaccine should still work against this new variant spreading quickly in the UK.

The B.1.1.7 variant may be more transmissible, but there's no evidence it increases the “severity associated with this disease.”🙏🏼

⚠️It's NOT the first time the #coronavirus mutated. As more people become immune—via infection or a #vaccine—the virus is under selective pressure to evade the immune response.

This could become like flu, where we have to update our vaccine each year.

‼️GRIFTERS: Nearly half of the $1.26 billion raised for Trump’s campaign was funneled into Jared Kushner’s shell company that spent hundreds of millions of dollars to pay Trump family members, along with other expenditures it wanted to keep under wraps.

Kush’s shell company acted “almost like a campaign within a campaign” to shield “financial and operational details from public scrutiny,” as it allowed the campaign to avoid federally mandated disclosures concerning where it was spending big bucks.

THIS IS ILLEGAL.🤬
Kush knows all about violating election laws, as his felon dad, Charles Kushner, went to PRISON for illegal campaign contributions, tax evasion, and witness tampering, including trying to extort his own brother-in-law after filming his with a prostitute.💥
