Please read and face the replies you have to this post, from HCWs, scientifics, engineers, citizens from all over the world, advocating for preventive measures to mitigate airborne transmission route.
@WHO has a duty to communicate all relevant and available scientific information to the world.
Its influence on public health authorities must be used to shift practical guidance toward educating and mitigating the risk of airborne transmission.

We urge @WHO to initiate a widespread advertising campaign to prevent airborne transmission of #SARS_CoV_2 informing all people around the world how the virus spreads.
@WHO's ambiguity sows confusion and causes serious harm which means contagion, chronic illness and death.
"No, there’s never been data presented to prove fomite and droplet only. It was stated by @WHO & accepted as fact. Airborne has been subjected to a much higher burden of proof to defend an outdated ideology."
"Guidance on transmission not updated from 9th July"
#COVIDisAirborne needs to be in your guidance to empower and persuade those in positions of influence and power to use this science to protect their HCWs+ citizens"
"The virus spread will not be stopped until public health authorities tell people HOW #Covid19 is caught
...& engage with the environmental science community who now KNOW how to stop it"
"If we have a foodborne disease spreading in the community, we look at ensuring food hygiene, we do not stop eating. Similarly, for an airborne disease, we need to focus on #AirHygiene"
@inquisitiveGyn
"For every day you delay is another week at the other end. The most important thing is let’s be clear on the WHY for almost every #publichealth prevention measure #COVID19 🦠is #airborne"
@mariagallegobl
"Dr. Fauci spoke out loud and clear, and who recognized a mistake that had led to mistakes throughout history. With humility.
Now missing @WHO
Don't ignore science, please
They are a reference for the World
Many people are dying"
@AndrewHewat
"Why is acceptance of airborne spread still resisted?
What is the worst that happens if it is accepted? More N95 respirators get used? So is this really just about saving money at the expense of HCW lives? How else can it be explained?"
@BarryHunt008
"Protection against airborne disease isn’t rocket science. It’s aerosol science. And it’s easy. And cheap.
Save people, save the economy."
@jessica_bassett
"We have enough evidence to know airborne transmission of COVID19 is happening. It’s time for @WHO to launch an aggressive communications effort to clarify that masks are necessary in shared indoor spaces even with distancing"
@danaparish
"Ppl just need clear, honest education in order to protect themselves. The public messaging’s been confusing, conflicting, & politically-motivated. The smoke analogy has saved ppl while denying scope of airborne spread has been deadly."
We have a highly transmissible variant and STILL NO aerosol experts at the IPC committee!
They have been offering them collaboration and support since long.
This will be reflected in the history books. Shame on you @WHO
HT @kprather88@jljcolorado
THIS will be recorded in history:
In 2020:
👉@WHO does not listen to science
👉WHO rejects aerosol transmission EVIDENCE
👉WHO downplays the role of ventilation
👉WHO neither explains WHY ventilation is needed
👉WHO doesn't retract, neither move 1/

Donald Trump knew: "it goes through air, Bob"
But for 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 reason (politics, economy, not interest at all in public health, all together, who knows...) he didn't mention this in public 2/

Wow, so @WHO also knew that COVID goes through air, @DrTedros said: "COVID is Airborne" 3/
🧵Authorities said where it is safe or not. Theoretically, schools, public transport and workplaces are safe.
I want to know what people think about.
Here a questionnaire related to this picture, to all the people around the world living in areas with local transmission 1/4
❔🌆Do your workplace (I assume indoor) have good ventilation, few people, distance, staff with well-fitted mask, and short meetings? is it in the🟩zone?
2/4
❔🏫Do the school of your kids (I assume indoor) have good ventilation, few people, distance, teachers/kids with well-fitted mask, and short time? is it in the🟩zone?

You're at an amusement park.
You see a roller coaster, and somehow you don't find very safe. The data says that accidents are on the rise and the company in charge does not take measures to prevent them from happening.
🧵
Now, they force you and your family to go up. Because everyone does, because you have to think about the economy of the family that runs that roller coaster, the economy of that amusement park, which is also yours. Also, there are people who say it's the safest in the world
So, you go up, they will call you exaggerated, paranoid, a generator of panic if you don't do it.
But there is something they are not telling you clearly: if you or your family have an accident there, the responsibility will be all yours alone.
