#itsourbirthday! Just three years ago, Development Reimagined was formally "born" in China. We are so proud of where we have come, and SO excited about the road ahead... a #thread 1/

We started as #Kenya's 1st Wholly Foreign-owned enterprise in Beijing, #China with three core values, and a vision to be a lean, mission-driven international #development consultancy like no other. Since then, we've brought in experts from 23+ countries to join our journey. 2/

We decided from the beginning to be demand-driven and independent, yet focused #beyondaid, and as a result our work so far on #globaldev has been incredibly varied but always fascinating. 3/

The results? The impact?

Based on Our "Consultancy 2.0" model of providing public goods alongside bespoke client products, we've been first to take deep-dives into and explain poorly understood #globaldev and #sinoafrica topics 4/

As we've built a lean team and a strong expert network, we've built strong capacity to deliver bespoke reports, all with unique insights due to our core values 5/

Other organisations have come to us to not only speak at but help organise and deliver dialogues and training on sensitive and complex #development, #China #Africa and #environment topics, especially within China. 6/

We - and our experts - have become a signficant voices on the future of #aid, of #development cooperation, in #China, and beyond. 7/

And our media coverage and regular op-eds show that we have become a trusted, reliable source of in-depth and unique knowledge for journalists from all over the world. 8/

What does 2021 have in store? All of the above - we hope - and more. In particular, stay tuned to opportunities to engage in our flagship projects #africareimagined and #africaunconstrained, as well as new work on #decolonisingdevelopment. We are ready and excited for year 4! 9/
