I’ve been following #antivaxx behaviour for some time now.
One scenario that gets played out over and over is that of a tragic death of a child, usually due to SIDS.
Grieving family looking for answers.
The #antivaxxers descend.
“Had they been vaccinated?”

Babies will often have been recently vaccinated, we vaccinate babies: at 8 weeks, at 12 weeks, at 16 weeks, at around a year.

People want a reason why, and sometimes there is no why.
Which only adds to the grief.

Now we have COVID-19 vaccines.
Some of those being offered it as a priority are the clinically vulnerable. People with pre-existing conditions.
Young vibrant adults.
And some of these people, these loved and cherished people will die.
Perhaps before they get the vaccine.

But some will die after they get the vaccine.
And it will be heartbreaking.
But it won’t be due to the vaccine, things can happen after the vaccine which are quite unrelated.
But in these cases the anti-vaccine vultures will descend. Like with SIDS.

They won’t even need evidence the person has HAD the vaccine.
Because these aren’t the vaccine hesitant, they are #antivaxxers and for them vaccines are evil and vaccines kill.
If you see this happen, please please please REPORT it to @Twitter for the targeted harassment it is.

And support those targeted, the grieving.
Try and protect them from this behaviour.
It is harmful, and hurtful.
They will be hurting enough.
