(1) #Thread on lineage-connection of Rajmata Jijabai (Mother of Chhatrapati Shivaji), & the Yadavas of Deogiri
Yadavas of Deogiri were the last Hindu rulers of the Deccan parts between Narmada & Tungabhadra, before Shivaji Maharaj. Their independent rule ended in 1300s.
(2) The Sevuna Yadavas are direct descendants of Bhagwan Shri Krishna, & carried titles like Dwarkapuravaradhiswara, YadavNrupati, Prithvi Vallabha , Sri Vallabha, etc.
(3) 1309: Samrat Ramdeo Yadav, the last sovereign of the #Yadava dynasty, passed away. Ramdeo was followed by his son Shankardeo. Shankardeo, died in 1312 CE.
(4) 1312: Shankardeo was followed by Govinddeo. He ruled till 1380.
1380: Govinddeo was followed by Thakurji. He was granted a deshmukhi of Sindkhed (👇), & ruled till 1429.
1430: Thakurji was followed by his son Bhukandevrao, who ruled till 1500.
(5) 1500: Bhukandevrao's son was Achalkarn or Achloji. Achloji's reigned till 1540.
1540: Achloji's son was Vithojirao. Vithojirao ruled till 1570.
(6) 1570: Vithoji was followed by Lakshmandeo or Lakhuji. Lakhuji had three wives - Mhalsabai, Girijabai & Yamunabai. Mhalsabai's daughter was Jijabai, the Mother of #ChhatrapatiShivajiMaharaj.
1605: Jijabai was married to Shahji Bhosale on Nov 5.

In the 1906 Zulu 'rebellion' (as the #British called it) in South Africa, Gandhi had appealed to #Indians community in South Africa to form 'Indian Ambulance Corps'.
He fought multiple battles against #Mughals between 1662-71, of which the Battle of Saraighat (1671) is more well-known.
(2) 1622, Nov 24: Lachit Barphukan was born to Momai Tamuli Borbarua, the Commander-in-Chief of the #Ahom army.
The Ahom kingdom had its capital at Garhgaon (👇, right), and extended upto Manas river in the west (Bongaigaon - western-border town)
(3) 1662: Mughal invasion of Assam under Mir Jumla. Lachit had fought in the battle of Dikhowmukh as the leader of royal bodyguard (Dolakaksharia Barua)
During this invasion, a Muslim traveller with Mir Jumla takes note of Ahom weapons.

He had won total *23 battles* in his very martial lifetime, after which he took on the title "Vikramaditya"

Starting as a greengrocer in Rewari, he first became a Police Superintendent of the bazars there, and gradually became a trusted confidante of Sultan Islam Shah Suri ( 👇 reigned 1545-54)
(3) After Islam Shah's death, his successor Adil Shah appointed Himu as his Chief Minister in 1555.
Adil Shah faced rebellions from multiple provinces. The 1st rebel to rise was the Governor at Bayana, Junaid Khan. Himu was sent with 4000 horses & 4 elephants to deal with him.
