The detailed 40 page report was submitted by Justice Patnaik in October, 2019. The contents of the report are likely to be taken up for hearing today.

It was clarified by the Justice Arun Mishra led bench that Justice Patnaik report would not be dealing with the complaint lodged by the woman against CJI and only focus on the content of Bains's affidavit.

Justice Kaul: Report by the former judge enquires that whether decision by then CJI on judicial side had triggered off conspiracy against him

Justice Kaul: two years have passed and possibility of recovery of electronic evidence now is unlikely

Justice Kaul: 3 member committee headed by the CJI SA Bobde has already submitted a report. Suo motu case is closed and proceedings are disposed off. There is no requirement to keep the case going on

Justice Kaul referred to the letter of Director of Intelligence Bureau that some conspiracy might have ensued due to the tough decisions like preparation of NRC in Assam. "There are strong reasons to believe that some kind of conspiracy might have been undertaken against CJI"

#SupremeCourt notes that allegations levelled by @utsavbains could not be verified completely due to limited access of records.
