The more I think about this terrible vaccine rollout in Alberta and the stories of people spending hours trying to book #COVID19AB vaccine before giving up the more I am filled with obvious questions like:

1. Why not stream registrations by last name to distribute the load?

3. Why not start with people 90+ this week, 85+ next week etc. ?

Why not partner with family physicians and community pharmacies to reach out to eligible patients and provide a list of patients to AHS for them to call and book?

Why not have a gradual launch by postal code?

I’m sure people who do this for a living can think of many other ideas which would have avoided the countless wasted hours, frustration of the vaccine ambivalent and the general Alberta disAdvantage inherent in this way of implementing phase 2 of vaccines. #COVID19AB #FiretheUCP

We have had ONE YEAR to plan and the @Alberta_UCP and @AHS_media couldn’t put together a competent team to implement a robust platform to schedule #COVID19AB vaccines even given all the amazing energy and talent we have in #Alberta.
