Gut wrenching—the fact that a little girl needs to sell $0.25 cent lemonade for brain surgery to save her own life speaks volumes about just how DEEPLY MESSED UP our healthcare system is in America. wkrg.com/alabama-news/i…
2) Drug price gouging is also out of control... like this mother who couldn’t afford insulin for her son.
3) And we can’t give free wrist slaps to firms that aided and abetted opioid drug pushers.
4) And we can’t let Walmart’s of the world get away with boosting drug profits via illegal means.
5) Though did you know... there is a way to forgive your medical debts from nonprofit hospitals if you’re low income.
6) And we can’t let Mylan price gouge life saving drugs like EPIPEN’s, and hold parents hostage.
7) Mylan was also recently ***criminally charged*** by Department of Justice for outright fraudulent EpiPen billing, and fined $465 million for its corruption.

But they still price gouge us.

2) published in the European Heart Journal, involves 148 patients from six hospitals in London. The team carried out MRI scans on patients who had been admitted to hospital and had elevation of a protein in the blood called troponin (heart damage signal).

50% is so damn high.

UNDERRATED BENEFITS of J&J vaccine on severe illness— lost in efficacy comparisons is how the J&J vaccine efficacy actually may **get better over time** for severe #COVID19–as high as 90-95% at 56 days—trend is very strong. And makes J&J on par w/ Pfizer-BioNTech & NIH-Moderna.🧵 Image
2) And do we see that in the table? Yes... in all countries, the efficacy of J&J vaccine against severe #COVID19 was always higher after 28 days than after 14 days: Rising from 70’s to mid-upper 80’s%.

3) Let’s look at the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for 14-27 days & severe #COVID19 outcome... it was just 62-80% for severe in Israel, on par if not lower than J&J. And for >35 days with 2nd shot? 92% against severe, on par with J&J that only used 1 shot without any booster. Image
