Hearing loss is on the rise.
2⃣0⃣1⃣9⃣ 1.5 billion
2⃣0⃣5⃣0⃣ 2.5 billion
Countries must act now to provide access to ear and #HearingCare for all
bit.ly/3sLnMBK
Unaddressed hearing loss costs over USD980 billion annually.
This is more than the annual combined health expenditure of 🇧🇷 and 🇨🇳.

This is the high cost of inaction.

bit.ly/3sLnMBK #HearingCare
Effective intervention for hearing loss starts by systematic screening of:
👂🏽 Newborn & infants
👂🏽 Pre-school & school age children
👂🏽 People exposed to noise or chemicals
👂🏽 People using ototoxic medicines
👂🏽 Older adults

#HearingCare
Timely and appropriate care ensures people with ear diseases and hearing loss can achieve their full potential.

#HearingCare
Provide universal access to ear and #HearingCare using the H.E.A.R.I.N.G package of interventions bit.ly/3sLnMBK
An additional annual investment of USD1.40 per capita is needed to scale up ear and hearing care services – or a price of a cup of coffee in some places – can benefit 1.4 billion people globally.
